Important Brake discs have a specific mounting direction that must be respected; they are interchangeable.

Mounting direction of a solid, non-ventilated brake disc : Discs must be installed so that the edge of the grooves closest to the outer edge of the disc makes contact with the brake pad first.

For competition use only; do not use these discs on public roads.

Description

Advantages of drilled and slotted discs:

  • Compatible with competition brake pads (AVP4485) and standard brake pads (AVP4402 or AVP4403).
  • These brake discs have holes that promote heat dissipation and channels (slots) that allow the pads to be cleaned/dust removed with each braking action.
  • The slots also act as wear indicators. When a slot disappears completely, it means the disc is too worn to guarantee safe and effective braking and it's time to replace it.

Disadvantages of discs Drilled and grooved:

  • Faster brake pad wear
  • Microcracks due to wear or use may form between the disc holes.
  • Over time, a slight noise or whistling sound may appear.
