Advantages of drilled and slotted discs:
- Compatible with competition brake pads (AVP4485) and standard brake pads (AVP4402 or AVP4403).
- These brake discs have holes that promote heat dissipation and channels (slots) that allow the pads to be cleaned/dust removed with each braking action.
- The slots also act as wear indicators. When a slot disappears completely, it means the disc is too worn to guarantee safe and effective braking and it's time to replace it.
Disadvantages of discs Drilled and grooved:
- Faster brake pad wear
- Microcracks due to wear or use may form between the disc holes.
- Over time, a slight noise or whistling sound may appear.
