Cylinder head gasket specifications:

    • Crimping diameter: Ø 59.7mm
    • Cylinder head gasket thickness:1.40mm

Installation direction:

The marking "Top" or "Haut" on the cylinder head gasket must be facing the Cylinder head (upwards).

For gaskets that do not have "top" or "high" markings, but have a manufacturer's part number, orient this part number towards the cylinder head.

If there are no markings (TOP, HIGH, or manufacturer's part number), the gasket does not have a specific orientation.

However, it is still necessary to check the correct positioning of the water and oil passages to ensure proper installation.

Caution:It is probable Modern cylinder liners and pistons are equipped with a shorter skirt. Installing modern cylinder liners and pistons to replace the original kits requires no modifications.

A shorter skirt promotes better lubrication and allows for an increased crankshaft stroke to prevent the skirt from contacting the connecting rod.

Piston installation direction: An arrow drawn perpendicular to the piston axis is marked on the top of the piston. It must be oriented in the direction of engine rotation during the connecting rod's downward stroke (see manufacturer's instructions or diagram). It is essential to check the ring end gap of each piston ring before installing them on the pistons, according to the values given by the manufacturer or in the supplied instructions. During installation, the ring end gap must be evenly distributed around the piston circumference at 120° intervals.
